Sport Fest 2008

Sport Fest is the first event of its kind to bring together the whole community of Nanaimo to celebrate sport. Sport Fest is a fun festival, which celebrates sports and athletes. Kids can learn about new sports in a fun and interactive way.

Sport Fest 2008 took place at Nanaimo's Beban Park primarily at Frank Crane Arena and the Breezeway between the Arena and Social Centre. In addition to our free skate, new in 2008 was a free swim at Beban Park Pool.

Events included land curling, land luge, wheelchair basketball, hockey goal shooting, free skating (with local mascots on the ice), free swimming, softball demos, and a special performance by a Vancouver Island magician!
